Flexible Procurement

Historically, permanent inline equipment such as control valves, pressure relief valves and flow meters are procured and installed during the first phase of the construction of process piping systems. This normally results in a tight lead time on the procurement of these critical and costly components.

The Test Pup offers the piping constructor the freedom to install, test and commission piping systems prior to the arrival of permanent inline equipment. Test Pup Jumper Spools can remain in position as valve substitutes until the testing and pre-commissioning of a piping system has been completed.

The permanent inline equipment can then be installed just prior to the handover and start up of the plant. This translates into extended, more flexible lead times on the procurement of high volume, critical components such as permanent valves.
